UPSC Declares CDS (I) 2025 Results; 535 Candidates Shortlisted for SSB Interviews

UPSC has announced the CDS (I) 2025 results. A total of 535 candidates have qualified for the SSB interview for IMA, INA, AFA, and OTA courses starting in 2026.

New Delhi. ; The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially announced the results of the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination (I), 2025. Candidates who have qualified in the written examination have now been shortlisted for the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview, which is the next crucial stage of the selection process.

The merit list has been published on the official UPSC website, listing candidates eligible to proceed further. According to the commission, a total of 535 candidates have cleared the written examination, including 473 male candidates and 62 female candidates. These candidates will now appear for SSB interviews for admission to various prestigious defence training academies, with courses scheduled to commence in 2026.

Defence Academies and Courses Covered

Candidates shortlisted through the CDS (I) 2025 examination are eligible for admission to the following institutions and courses:

Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun

  • – 123rd Short Service Commission (Men) Course

Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala

Air Force Academy (AFA), Hyderabad

  • – Flying Branch

Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai

  • – 37th Short Service Commission (Men) Course
  • – 31st Short Service Commission (Women, Non-Technical) Course

As per official information, the total vacancies include 275 posts for Short Service Commission (Men) and 18 posts for Short Service Commission (Women – Non-Technical).

Important Information for Qualified Candidates

  • The declared result is provisional and does not include medical examination outcomes
  • Final selection will depend on medical fitness and fulfilment of all eligibility conditions
  • Educational qualifications will be verified by the respective Service Headquarters
  • Individual marks will be released only after the final result is declared by UPSC

Scorecards and Candidate Support

UPSC will activate the scorecard link after the completion of the entire selection process, allowing candidates to view their marks and details of non-recommended candidates. The commission also operates a facilitation counter at its New Delhi campus to assist candidates with queries and clarifications.
