UGC develops four Swayam MOOCs for the January semester, 2023

The course begins on 6th February 2023 and ends on 22nd March 2023. However, the enrolment window is open till 15th March 2023

 

New Delhi. ; The University Grants Commission has developed four Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) to be offered on the SWAYAM Platform (https://swayam.gov.in/).  
They are:
1. The History of Indian Buddhism
2. Abhidhamma (Pali)
3. Buddhist Philosophy
4. Community Engagement and Social Responsibility. 

As per the official notice, the First three MOOCs are for the revival of India as a Global Centre of Buddhist Culture and Tourism and the last is a recommendation of NEP 2020, as part of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA).
The courses are to be offered by the University Grants Commission(UGC), Consortium for Educational Communication (CEC), Indian Institute of Management (IIMB), National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) and Indira Gandhi Open National University (IGNOU). 

The course begins on 6th February 2023 and ends on 22nd March 2023. However, the enrolment window is open till 15th March 2023. Students can avail the benefits of Credit transfer by enrolling in these courses.
