AMU to Organise AMU 'Hackathon 2026' to Promote Students Innovation

The Innovation Council and University Incubation Centre in collaboration with AMU innovation Foundation will host AMU Hackathon 2026 to encourage student-led tech solutions for campusThe challenges. The registration fee is ₹1,000 per team and the last date to register is January 31, 2026.

Aligarh - The Innovation Council and University Incubation Centre in collaboration with AMU Innovation Foundation will organise AMU Hackathon 2026 at Aligarh Muslim university on February 7-8, 2026. The event aims to provide a platform for students to develop innovative technology-driven solutions to real world campus problems.

According to the official notification, the hackathon will feature multiple problem statements, including AI-enabled CCTV for campus security, student life cycle database management, online access to test reports for JNMCH, energy saving in AMU offices and hostels, waste management for AMU campus and  digital fuel management for the AMU petrol pump..

 The registration fee is ₹1,000 per team and the last date to register is January 31, 2026. The heckathon is exclusively open to AMU students with a team consisting of 1 to 5 members.

Winners will receive ₹10,000 for the first prize and ₹5,000 for the second price in each category along with the participation certificates for all team members. The evaluation process will include online screening presentations , followed by a final live presentation before expert judges.

The organizers said the Hackathon is designed to foster innovation,  teamwork and problem-solving skills among students while supporting the development of practical solutions for campus and institutional needs.
