Aligarh: Synergistic Training Program a 7-day training program to utilize the scientific and technological infrastructure (STUTI) is being organized at Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. The training program is facilitated by the Science and Technology Department (DST) of the government of India. This training program will mainly focus on building open access to science and technology infrastructure and creating human resources across the country. This training program will be very useful for budding researchers and professionals to develop a better understanding and familiarization with the available resources and scientific equipment supported by the government of India.

Topics to be covered during the training
- Introduction to Nanomaterials, Synthesis and characterization; Basic properties of nanomaterials; Basics of characterization techniques; Physics of multiferroics; Photocatalytic applications of oxide materials; Tuning the physical properties of some specific materials; Liquid crystal materials: Measurements and characterization tools; Interaction of nuclear radiation with matter; Fundamentals of radiation detectors.
- Synthesis of Nanomaterials; X-ray diffractometer (XRD); Thermal Analysis (STA) System; Low and High temperature resistivity setups; Polarizing microscope; LCR meter and spectrometers; etc.
Eligibility to participate in the training program
Indian Nationals Assistant/Associate-Professors/Professors/ Scientists/PostDoc. Fellows/Ph.D. Fellows and/or M. Tech. Students actively involved in the fields of basic/allied sciences or engineering are eligible to apply. The participant will be awarded with a certificate after the successful completion of the training.
