New Delhi: The Tamil Nadu School Education Department has directed the Chief Educational Officers of all districts to instruct the heads of all Government Higher Secondary and High Schools in the state to have a special School Management Committee (SMC) meeting on May 3.
According to an official release, the goals of holding a special sitting of the SMC are to identify absentee students in the public exams held for classes X, XI, and XII in the academic year 2023-24, to encourage students who failed the exams to take supplementary exams, to advise students who passed the exams on pursuing higher education, and to regularise donations to meet the needs of the schools.
The guidelines for the 'Uyarkalvi Vazhikatti' initiative of the 'Naan Mudhalvan' Scheme, as well as initiatives such as 'All Children in Schools' and 'Namma School - Namma Ooru Palli', will be examined in detail at the SMC special meeting.
