SPANDAN​: Two day Annual Fest ends in CUH

Faculty Research Awards were given to 11 teachers, Student Research Awards to 8 students, Best Performance Awards to 6 non-teaching staff and 9 outsourcing staff and 2 security personnel for their remarkable contribution.

 

Mahendergarh : SPANDAN, a two-day cultural program organized on the occasion of completion of fourteen years of the establishment of the University at Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh, ended on Sunday. Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Shri Kaushal Kishore graced the morning prize distribution session as the chief guest while the evening closing session was graced by Haryanvi folk artist Gajendra Phogat as a special guest. The program was presided over by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar. On this occasion, the first woman of the university, Prof. Sunita Srivastava and Registrar Prof. Sunil Kumar were prominently present.

Sh. Kaushal Kishore said that CUH has proved itself not only on the academic front but also on the cultural, social, scientific, sports front too. In such a short time of establishment, the University has earned fame at the national and international level as well. On this occasion, he said that today is the time that the students should not only become literate but also educated and for this it is necessary that all of us together stay away from drug addiction. For a self-reliant and developed India, it is necessary that our young generation should contribute in building a drug-free India as shown by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and not only stay away from it, but also take a pledge to save others from drugs. On this occasion, he made reference to love for Indian culture and heritage in the five vows presented by the Prime Minister and called the colorful programs presented in the University important in this endeavour.

Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar while giving the welcome speech recalled the entire development journey through various achievements achieved by the University and also threw light on the future action plan. He explained how we have made efforts towards educational changes by giving importance to skill development mentioned in the new National Education Policy and are continuously moving forward for progress, keeping social concerns in mind. On this occasion, he talked about giving importance to social utility at the level of research and innovation and attributed the contribution of teachers, students and non-teaching staff of the University important in this direction. Prior to this, the Director of the University's Center for Innovation and Incubation, Prof. Sunita Srivastava while highlighting the objective of Wonders of Innovation, said that it is our endeavor to develop a culture of research and innovation among students, researchers and teachers. Shri Gajendra Phogat present in the closing session of the program inspired the youth to stay away from drugs. He said that the intoxication of art and culture is the best and organizing such events at the University level is definitely commendable. Appreciating the Vice-Chancellor of Central University of Haryana and the annual festival organizing committee, Gajendra Phogat said that their efforts would surely prove helpful in bringing forward the youth talent. On the last day of the Foundation Day in the University, Director of Internal Quality and Assurance Cell, Prof. Sarika Sharma informed about the awards started for teachers, non-teaching staff, outsourced staff and first time for students under various categories. Faculty Research Awards were given to 11 teachers, Student Research Awards to 8 students, Best Performance Awards to 6 non-teaching staff and 9 outsourcing staff and 2 security personnel for their remarkable contribution. On this occasion, Dean Student Welfare, Prof. Anand Sharma, University teachers, non-teaching staff, students and research scholars including Dr. AP Sharma, Dr. Renu Yadav and program coordinator Dr. Aarti Yadav were present.
