New Delhi : Samarthanam Trust for Disabled on Friday announced the inauguration of a state-of-the-art mini science lab in Government Coed Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, Najafgarh here in Delhi
The state-of-the-art science lab is designed to be inclusive and accessible, allowing blind students and other children with disabilities to engage in scientific learning with ease.
The inauguration ceremony took place on Friday with the support of Forrester Research India Private Ltd. Key attendees included Managing Analytics, Monica Sabharwal, Manager Shared Services Mr. Rajat Lamba, Team Lead Shared Services Niverty Sharma and Contracts Analyst Lakshay Makkar.
Speaking on the special occasion, the founder of Samarthanam Trust for Disabled, Dr. Mahantesh GK, said, "I am committed to ensuring that every government school offers the best educational facilities and is inclusive for all disabilities. As a visually impaired individual, I understand the challenges of education. This is why I am dedicated to transforming as many government schools as possible to provide the best facilities for all kinds of disabilities."
“Having contributed to 400 government schools across various states, including 25 to 30 schools in Delhi alone, with infrastructure such as mini science labs, tinker labs, smart classes, and improved school facilities, I believe that these advanced labs and technologies, sponsored by our partners, will nurture many bright students for our nation. I am confident that these inclusive efforts will be beneficial for every student," he added.
Although unable to attend the inauguration due to his commitments with the Indian Blind Cricket team in the USA, Dr. Mahantesh expressed his heartfelt thanks to sponsors and supporters for their support in realizing this vision.
This week, Samarthanam Trust for Disabled also inaugurated two more mini science labs in two government schools in Gurugram, namely Government Senior Secondary School in Nawada, and Government Senior Secondary School in Naharpur. Last week, Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled inaugurated a new training regime for visually impaired women and girls in Delhi.
