Research and Publication Ethics course for research students begins at CUH

Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh conducted an orientation program of the Research and Publication Ethics course for the PhD students of the batch 2022-2023

 

Haryana: Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Central Library, Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh conducted an orientation program of the Research and Publication Ethics course for the PhD students of the batch 2022-2023. Around 120 PhD research students of 31 departments have joined the Course and attended Orientation Programme. ‘Research and Publication Ethics’ course is a UGC approved 2 credits mandatory course introduced by UGC in 2019-20 to instil the ethical values and encourage ethical research practices among the researchers.  Central University of Haryana implemented the Course in 2020 and so far completed two batches of 2020-21 and 2021-22. Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Central Library conducts the Course centrally to the researchers of all Departments. 

Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice Chancellor of Central University of Haryana appreciated the Library team for organising the Course for various Departments and also organising orientation programme. The University Librarian Dr. Santosh C H oriented the students about the salient features of course.  He informed the students about the course structure, various modules and learning outcomes of the programme. He also motivated the students to best utilize the library resources for the research work. The Information Scientist, Dr. Vinita Malik shared that the research ethics are important to signify the credibility of researcher, knowledge expansion, collaboration, building trust and respect among the research community. The Scientific conduct, standards and procedures are required to be followed to ensure the research quality. At the end of the programme, research scholars cleared their doubts about the Course by asking questions.  Dr. Vinod Kumar, Assistant Librarian and Mr. Naresh Kumar, Assistant Librarian were present in the programme. Library volunteers Ms. Manju and Ms. Divya from Department of Psychology assisted the Library team to smoothly organise the programme. Mr. Naresh Kumar proposed vote of thanks.
