Representatives of the University of Melbourne conducted an academic visit of CUH

Representatives of the Center for the Study of Higher Education of the University of Melbourne, Australia, on Thursday conducted an academic visit to Central University of Haryana

 

Mahendergarh. : Representatives of the Center for the Study of Higher Education of the University of Melbourne, Australia, on Thursday conducted an academic visit to Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh. On this occasion, the discussion between both the institutions was on the introduction of Graduate Certificate in University Teaching Program under the Department of Teacher Education. The Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar expressed hope that as a result of this visit, soon both the institutions will work in mutual partnership in the direction of teaching, learning and research.

Among the representatives of the University of Melbourne who came for an academic tour of the University, Director Prof. Sophie Arkoudis, Deputy Director Prof. Chi Baikand Dr. Tracii Ryan were present. These representatives were first welcomed in a traditional manner in the University. The Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar gave the welcome address and informed about the achievements and progress of the University. After this Prof. A.K. Yadav gave a presentation related to the University.In their address, these representatives mentioned the various possibilities available in the University and said that both the institutions will work together in the near future at the level of research, innovation, student and teacher exchange. On this occasion, the introduction of Graduate Certificate in University Teaching under the School of Teacher Education was also discussed and before this, the Dean of School of Teacher Education, Prof. Sarika Sharma gave a presentation related to the school. After the event, representatives from the University of Melbourne visited the School of Education and saw the facilities available there. Dr. Kiran Rani moderated the stage in the program. At the end of the program, Dean of International Affairs of the University, Prof. Dinesh Chahal, while expressing his gratitude, said that this event will definitely play a decisive role in establishing partnership between the two institutions. During the program Prof. Sunita Srivastava, Prof. Sunil Kumar, Prof. Vinod Kumar, Prof. Pramod Kumar, Prof. Vikas Garg, Prof. GunjanGoyal, Prof. Phool Singh, Prof. A.K. Yadav, Prof. PayalChandel, Prof. Nand Kishore, Prof. Manoj Kumar Singh, Prof. RanjanAneja, Prof. Gaurav Singh, Dr. Ramesh Kumar, Dr. Prakash Kanu, Dr. Amit Kumar, Dr. Renu Yadav, Dr. Aarti and Dr. Kheraj etc. were prominently present.
