One Day Seminar organized in CUH

:- Mr. P. Chander, President, AIFMP, Chief Guest of the seminar during his address stressed upon the value and importance of organizing seminars on “New Areas of Applications in Printing”, to benefit the academia and print industry at large

 

Haryana: Department of Printing & Packaging Technology, School of Engineering & Technology, Central University of Haryana, Mahendergarh, organized a one-day seminar on “New Areas of Applications in Printing” through the blended mode (Physical and virtual platform). Prof. (Dr.)  Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of the University congratulated the faculty members and the students for conducting the seminar on a topic which is highly relevant in today’s competitive world.

Mr. P. Chander, President, AIFMP, Chief Guest of the seminar during his address stressed upon the value and importance of organizing seminars on such topics, to benefit the academia and print industry at large. He went on adding the future of printing and packaging, especially on the technology, application and innovative approaches in various areas. 

Prof. Phool Singh, Dean & HoD of the department blessed the program with the possible new technologies going to complement the printing and packaging industry in the coming years and indicated a meaningful career prospect to the students of the department.

Prof. (Dr.) Anjan Kumar Baral, technical speaker of the seminar, presented a technical session on “The Power of Print in the Digital Age”, in the morning session. He stressed upon the uniqueness of print as analog, tangible and physical and Even when people thought the digital age would be the end of print, it fought back to become more creative, unique and important than ever. We like to touch, taste, smell and feel things, print does them all. He added that bringing print and digital together, which are the secrets behind growth and development of print in recent times. 

Mr. Hitender Kumar, Manager, South East Asia (ESID), Eastman Kodak, another technical speaker of the seminar presented a technical session on “The Power of Print in the Digital Age”, in the afternoon session. He covered the different technologies qualified as digital printing techniques, focusing on electrophotography and inkjet systems. He added further, how the fastest growing industry like packaging is being influenced by modern digital print equipment. He stressed upon how mass versioning and mass customization is taking the lead in packaging applications in recent times. 

Mr. Sandeep Boora, Teacher Incharge of the department, thanked the Chief Guest, speakers, Mr. Ramu Ramanathan, PrintWeek, the media partner of the seminar, faculty members Mr. Anil Kundu, Mr. Shammi Mehra, Mr. Tarun Singh and Mr. Nishan Singh, University authority and students for their kind support and cooperation for making the seminar a grand success.
