New Delhi: NTA has released public notice on July 11, 2022 regarding performance rating of applicants through Global test for Indian Institutes (previously known as Indian Scholastic Assessment). The Study In India programme is a flagship project of the Ministry of Education Government of India which seeks to promote India as a prime education hub for international students by inviting them to pursue their higher education in the country. The Programme envisages providing scholarships to foreign students who want to study in India. 

Selection of candidates for award of scholarships is through an entrance exam called Performance Rating of Applicants through Global Aptitude Test for Indian Institutes (PRAGATII). It is a standardized online exam for students seeking scholarships under the Study in India programme. This exam is conducted to evaluate the capability and diligence of students applying to pursue higher education in India, at Undergraduate/Postgraduate level. 

The scores obtained by the candidates in the PRAGATII exam serve as a criterion to shortlist the meritorious students for the allocation of Study in India Scholarships. 

National Testing Agency is a premier, specialist, autonomous and self-sustained testing organization, under the Ministry of Education, Govt of India. It conducts entrance examinations for admission to /fellowship in higher educational institutions in India. National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the PRAGATII Examination for UG & PG Candidates for 2022. 

The date of the exam is scheduled to be held on July 31, 2022. The exam will be held in three sessions. The test will be an objective type comprising 90 multiple choice questions. It will be an online internet based exam.
