NTA Releases Provisional Answer Keys for CUET (UG) 2024

Candidates are given the opportunity to challenge the provisional answer key and recorded responses.

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer keys, question papers, and scanned images of OMR sheets with recorded responses for the Common University Entrance Test [CUET (UG)] – 2024. This measure is aimed at providing transparency and facilitating candidates in verifying their responses.

The CUET (UG) 2024 examination was conducted in a hybrid mode, comprising both Computer-Based Test (CBT) and Pen & Paper (Offline) modes. The examination took place on multiple dates: May 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, 24, and 29, 2024. It was held across 379 cities, including 26 cities outside India, accommodating approximately 13.48 lakh candidates.

 

Provisional Answer Key and OMR Sheets

Candidates who appeared for the examination can now access the following data on the official website https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/:

- For CBT mode: Question papers with recorded responses.

- For Pen & Paper mode: Provisional answer keys, scanned images of OMR answer sheets, and recorded responses.

To assist candidates, a scanned image of the OMR answer sheet will also be sent to their registered email addresses provided during the online application process.

 

Challenge Process

Candidates are given the opportunity to challenge the provisional answer key and recorded responses by paying a non-refundable processing fee of ₹200 per question challenged. The details for the challenge process are as follows:

 

- For CBT Mode:

  - Activity: Answer Key Challenge

  - Fee: ₹200 per question (non-refundable)

  - Start Date: July 7, 2024

  - End Date: July 9, 2024 (up to 05:00 PM)

 

- For Pen & Paper Mode:

  - Activity: Answer Key Challenge and Recorded Response Challenge

  - Fee: ₹200 per question (non-refundable)

  - Start Date: July 7, 2024

  - End Date: July 9, 2024 (up to 05:00 PM)

Payment of the processing fee can be made through debit card, credit card, or net banking up to July 9, 2024, 06:00 PM. Challenges submitted without the processing fee will not be entertained, and the challenges will not be accepted through any other medium.

 

Verification and Result Declaration

Challenges made by candidates will be verified by a panel of subject experts. If any challenge is found to be correct, the answer key will be revised and applied to the responses of all candidates accordingly. The final answer key, post-challenge, will be considered for preparing and declaring the results. Candidates will not be individually informed about the acceptance or non-acceptance of their challenges.

The NTA also addressed public grievances received regarding the exam conducted for CUET (UG) 2024 up to June 30, 2024. If found genuine, the NTA commits to redoing the exam for these candidates between July 15 to 19, 2024, in CBT mode only. Admit cards will be issued to such candidates.
