New Delhi.: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an important notice regarding the use of NEET UG 2025 scores for admissions to various courses.
Key Highlights from the Official Notice
Mode of Examination:
- NEET UG 2025 will be conducted in Pen and Paper mode (OMR-based) on a single day and in a single shift, as confirmed in an earlier notice dated January 16, 2025.
Admissions to Additional Courses:
- In addition to the courses previously mentioned, NEET UG 2025 scores and merit lists will also be used for admissions to BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) and BVSc & AH (Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry) courses, following past practices and respective regulatory body rules.
Applicability to Indian System of Medicine and Homeopathy:
As per Section 14 of the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine Act, 2020, NEET UG is mandatory for admissions to undergraduate courses in:
- BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery)
- BUMS (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery)
- BSMS (Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery)
- Similarly, NEET UG is applicable for admission to BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery) under the National Commission for Homeopathy.
MNS (Military Nursing Service) Admissions:
- Aspirants seeking admission to B.Sc. Nursing courses at Armed Forces Medical Service Hospitals must qualify NEET UG 2025. The scores will be used for shortlisting candidates for the four-year program.
- This notice clarifies the extensive applicability of NEET UG 2025 scores across various medical and allied courses, ensuring a uniform admission process in line with regulatory requirements.
