JNU Invites Applications for Research Project

The project is titled 'Cosmic ray-driven magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) waves and fluid instabilities in plasmas'.

New Delhi: School of Physical Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is inviting applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB). Interested candidates can send applications before 15th March 2023.

According to the official website, The position will be under the supervision of Dr. Ram Prasad Prajapati, Associate Professor (JNU) for a project titled 'Cosmic ray-driven magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) waves and fluid instabilities in plasmas'. It is a temporary position and only one vacancy is available.

It is a 3-year project and the fellowship amount is set at Rs.31000/- (for the first two years), Rs. 35000/- (for the third year) + 27% HRA. 

Candidate should have M.Sc. in Physics (Minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA and passed not earlier than 03 years) with qualified  CSIR-UGC JRF/NET or GATE. The age limit is set at 28 years (relaxable for 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped). 

Interested candidates are required to send their applications on plain A-4 size paper to Dr. Ram Prasad Prajapati (P.I.) through email: rpprajapati@mail.jnu.ac.in. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview which is likely to be scheduled in March 2023.
