JMI organize Extension Lectures on Cyber Security and Machine Learning

:- The purpose of the program was to enhance the knowledge of students about new technologies in cyber security and machine learning

 

New Delhi: The Subject Association of the Department of Computer Science, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), organized extension lectures on September 22, 2022. The purpose of the program was to enhance the knowledge of students about new technologies in cyber security and machine learning.

The program began with an address by Prof. Monica Mehrotra, Head, Department of Computer Science, JMI who welcomed all guests, speakers, and students who attended lectures in large numbers. 

Prof. Seemi Farhat Basir, Dean, Faculty of Natural Sciences was the Chief Guest of the Program. She highlighted the importance of new technologies in the life of students. She appreciated this initiative by the Head of Department Prof. Monica Mehrotra, Department of Computer Science, and congratulated her for organizing extension lectures.

Prof. D. K. Lobiyal, Ex-Dean, School of Computer and Systems Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, was a Guest of Honour and Speaker in the program. He delivered a talk on Machine Learning Applications in Natural Language Processing.

Dr. Kiran Chaudhary, Shivaji College, University of Delhi, was also the Guest of Honor and Speaker. She delivered a talk on Cyber Security and IT Act in India. She gave various tips to secure the data in cyberspace and different types of cyber law in India.

Faculty members, namely Prof. K. Mustafa(Ex-Head), Prof. SMK Quadri (Ex-Head), Prof. M. Nazir, Prof. Rajendra Kumar, Prof. Rafat Parveen, Prof. Suraiya Jabin, Dr. Taran S. Bharti, and Dr. Khalid Raza were present during the program. It ended with a vote of thanks by Prof. Mansaf Alam, Advisor, Subject Association, Department of Computer Science, JMI.
