New Delhi : In alignment with the Ministry of Education's #Plant4Mother campaign, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has launched a special plantation drive named "Van Mahotsav." The initiative aims to enhance the green cover on the university campus and promote environmental awareness.
The event commenced on July 1, 2024, at 4:30 PM and will continue until July 10, 2024. The plantation drive will kick off from the west side of the Administration building and gradually extend to other designated locations across the campus.
All members of the university community, including students, faculty, and staff, are cordially invited to participate in the "Van Mahotsav" and contribute to the green initiative. The drive is expected to see enthusiastic participation from various sections of the university, reflecting a collective commitment to environmental sustainability.
JNU's "Van Mahotsav" is part of a broader effort to foster a culture of environmental responsibility and community involvement in greening initiatives. The university hopes that the plantation drive will not only improve the campus's ecological balance but also inspire similar efforts in other institutions and communities.
