Navi Mumbai — ITM Skills University warmly welcomed its incoming BBA and B.Tech (CSE 2025–2029) cohorts with a grand inauguration ceremony that brought together students, parents, faculty, and industry leaders in a vibrant celebration of new beginnings and future aspirations.
The ceremony commenced with the traditional Deep Prajwalan and potted plant presentations, symbolizing the university’s commitment to knowledge, growth, and sustainability. Anchors Tanay, Saniya, and Manmeet led the B.Tech program, while Rahilla and Kanishk hosted the BBA segment, seamlessly blending heritage with a forward-thinking academic outlook.
Dr. Jaywant Shelar, Vice Chancellor of ITM Skills University, opened the event with a warm and motivating welcome address. This was followed by a visionary keynote by Chairman Dr. P. V. Ramana, who underscored the importance of cultivating agile, emotionally intelligent, and tech-savvy professionals for a dynamic future.
The BBA ceremony featured engaging speeches by prominent industry leaders, the unveiling of a soulful BBA anthem, and insights into the evolving business landscape. Meanwhile, the B.Tech segment energized the crowd with student-led highlights, including a live Demo Day presentation by Vrishank, tech showcases, and interactive audience polls.
In a compelling address, Mr. Nitin Putcha, CEO of ITM Group, urged students to focus on qualities that machines can't replicate.
“We must not prepare students for jobs that AI will replace, but for roles where human creativity, emotional intelligence, and ethical reasoning matter most,” he said. “We must stay learner-obsessed—constantly evolving, innovating, and thinking long-term.”
The event also spotlighted student achievements, honoring winners of the Startup Challenge, Demo Day, and academic toppers, with cash prizes exceeding ₹1 lakh. Standout winners included Sayuj Pillai and team for Demo Day, and Zahid, Dhairya, and Leena Parkhe for their innovative startup ideas. High-performing interns and hackathon participants were also celebrated.
Dr. Lakshmi Mohan, Pro Vice Chancellor, concluded the ceremony with a heartfelt vote of thanks, reinforcing the university’s mission to develop well-rounded, future-ready professionals through academic rigor, real-world exposure, and a strong ethical foundation.
