India Space Lab Announces Winter Internship and Technical Training Program 2026

Online internship to offer hands-on exposure in space technology, drones, rocketry, and disaster management

New Delhi: India Space Lab (ISL) has announced its Winter Internship and Technical Training Program 2026. The internship is aimed at undergraduate, postgraduate students, and research scholars from recognised universities and institutions in India and abroad. The programme is designed to provide structured technical training along with project-based learning in emerging space and allied technologies.

The winter internship will be conducted entirely online and will allow selected participants to work closely with different divisions of the space technology ecosystem. A total of 1,045 seats are available, and selection will be done on a first-come, first-served basis.

As part of the internship, participants will receive focused training across multiple technical domains, including advanced drone technology, CanSat and CubeSat development, rocketry, remote sensing using GIS, and disaster management systems. In addition to structured training sessions, interns will also undertake a technology- and operations-focused project, enabling them to apply their learning in a practical context.

The duration of the internship will range from a minimum of 30 days to a maximum of 45 days, depending on the training and project phase. Upon successful completion of the programme, participants will be awarded an internship completion certificate by India Space Lab.
