Government of Karnataka inks an MoU with NSE Academy to introduce financial education in colleges

:- This course aims at developing financial acumen and the spirit of savings and investing among students

Bengaluru: The Karnataka Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Stock Exchange Academy Limited (NAL) to introduce a financial education and investment awareness course for second year college students of the state. NAL signed the MoU with Karnataka State Higher Education Council (KSHEC) and MoAs with 22 state universities in presence of Dr. Ashwathnarayan CN, Minister of Higher Education. 

The minister said, “A solid grasp of finance & effective money management is crucial for today’s youth, and they must comprehend its necessity.” According to the statement released by the ministry, the programme will benefit over 5 lakh students annually. 

It is expected of the universities to integrate the course into their curriculum, immediately. This course aims at developing financial acumen and the spirit of savings and investing among students.
