Expert lecture on Savarkar, Partition and National Security in CUH

 

Mahendergarh : Expert lecture on Savarkar, Partition and National Security was organized by the Department of Political Science and Right to Information Cell of Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh on Wednesday. The program was presided over by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar while Author, Historian and Central Information Commissioner Mr. UdayMahukar was present as the Chief Guest. The keynote speaker in his address described Veer Savarkar as the father of Indian national security and said that efforts are constantly being made to manglise his image because certain kind of forces are active against the unity, integrity and security of India who do not want Veer Savarkar's thinking about national security should reach the people.

Dr. Ramesh Kumar, HoD, Department of Political Science, presented the welcome address in the program. Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar said that today it is very important that we know our true history. The Vice Chancellor said that such events in the University definitely provide opportunity to the students, research scholars, teachers and all other participants to understand the right aspects of history and create a right thinking through them. Referring to the resolution of a developed nation given by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Vice Chancellor said that we all have to move forward unitedly to achieve this goal.

The keynote speaker of the program, Mr. UdayMahukar, in his address, while mentioning the partition of India and the Congress and other forces responsible for it, told how Veer Savarkar had predicted it in the past. He said that Savarkar was a scholar on national security policy and long ago had talked about the development of military power necessary for security from neighboring countries. Savarkar was always in favor of Akhand Bharat. In this sequence, Shri UdayMahukar also presented the idea of Hindutva and told that it is not against any particular religion but favors the nationalist idea, accepting all religions. Discussion on Right to Information Act was also organized under this event. The Convener of this program was Dr. Rajeev Kumar Singh, Central Public Information Officer and Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science and Dr. Shantesh Kumar Singh, Associate Professor was the Organizing Secretary. Teachers, students, research scholars from various departments of the University were present in the event.
