New Delhi - The Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi, has issued Notification No. 4911 dated February 10, 2026, announcing the schedule for recruitment examinations to various teaching and other academic posts under central schemes for Sanskrit promotion. The recruitment pertains to positions in Adarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalayas (ASMs) and Adarsh Sanskrit Shodh Sansthans (ASSSs), as notified earlier under Advertisement No. 02/2025 dated November 20, 2025.
According to the Examination Section, the subject-wise recruitment examinations will be conducted on February 21, 2026 (Saturday) and February 22, 2026 (Sunday) in two shifts—10:00 AM to 12:45 PM (Forenoon) and 2:00 PM to 4:45 PM (Afternoon). On February 21, the forenoon shift will cover Research (Sanskrit, Manuscriptology, Editing/Publication), while the afternoon shift will be held for Darshan. Examination centres for this day include Bengaluru, Bhopal, Delhi, and Lucknow.
On February 22, multiple subjects including Nyaya, Jyotisha, Ved-Karmakanda-Paurohitayam, Vyakarana, Bauddha Darshan, Dharmashastra, English, Manipuri, Tamil, College Librarian, Hindi, Puranetihas, Sahitya, Vedanta (Vishishta Advaita), and Research (Darshan/Manuscriptology/Editing/Publication) will be conducted across centres such as Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Pune.
The University has clarified that candidates apperaing for exams on February 21 must continue at the same city's designated centre on February 22, irrespective of earlier centre selection. Admit cards and valid ID proofs are are mandatory for entryand no request for change of Centre will be entertained. Candidates have been advised to regularly visit the official website of Central Sanskrit University for updates and refer to the syllabus uploaded on January 12, 2026.
