Haryana: For the convenience of transportation within the Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh campus, Vice Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar on Thursday launched eco-friendly e-rickshaw service. Five e-rickshaws are being made available for the movement of students, research scholars, teachers, staff and visitors from one place to another within the University.

While inaugurating this facility, the Vice Chancellor said that through this facility, there will be ease in commuting from one building to another in the campus and the battery-based e-rickshaw being eco-friendly will also help in reducing pollution.

The need was felt to develop eco-friendly alternatives of transport for commuting within the University. Under this effort, the facility of e-rickshaw has been started in the campus from Thursday. Under this facility, travelling can be done on the fixed route by paying the prescribed fee.
