Mahendergarh: Dr.HumiraSonah, Ramalingaswami Fellow, Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh has been announced as the recipient of the prestigiousB. M. Johri Award for 2024. The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof.Tankeshwar Kumar, congratulated Dr.Sonah and reaffirmed his unwavering support for the advancement of plant biology and biotechnology. He emphasized that the University will prioritize research in plant science with a focus on "Direct Benefits to Farmers" in the future.
The B. M. Johri Award, presented by the Society of Plant Science, recognizes outstanding contributions to plant sciences. This accolade celebrates excellence in research, innovation, and advancements in plant biology, botany, and related fields.Upon receiving the award, Dr.Sonah expressed her gratitude to everyone, especially Vice Chancellor Prof.Tankeshwar Kumar, for his ongoing support of her research endeavors at the university. She also mentioned her startup project in plant science, which she believes will significantly benefit the Central University of Haryana in the coming years.
