Haryana: Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh and CSIR-IHBT, Palampur have signed MoU on collaborative research and academic activities. The MOU signing was done on the Foundation day of CSIR-IHBT with Prof. Dr. Tankeshawar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor and Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Director IHBT, Prof. Neelam Sangwan Dean Research and Prof. Sunil Kumar, Registrar.

At the function, in the graceful presence of Dr. T. Ramasami, Former Secretary to Govt. of India, Ministry of Science & Technology, and Distinguished Professor of Eminence, Technology Enabling Centre, Anna University, Chennai. Prof Tankeshawar Kumar said that this MOU will facilitate a close cooperation and collaboration between both the institutions specially in the area of departments of Life sciences and interdisciplinary sciences. Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Director IHBT welcomed Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Prof. Neelam Sangwan, Prof. Sunil Kumar and Dr. Vikas Kumar, Finance Officer.

This MOU will promote and strengthen research and academic activities of joint mutual interest including exchange of the faculty members and students, training and organizing national seminars/workshops, sharing of knowledge, skills and resources etc.

CSIR-IHBT Palampur is premier national institution that is engaged in the research in the Bioresources of Himalayan regions and has developed research-based technologies for the industries as well as farmers. Central University of Haryana is a central university engaged in imparting education to UG, PG and doctoral program. The faculty members belonging to school of Interdisciplinary and Applied Sciences and School of Basic sciences are engaged in various niche areas of research which are of global and national importance.
