New Delhi. : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially revised the date for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2024. Initially, the exam was scheduled for December 1, 2024, but was later postponed to December 15. However, in a recent update, CBSE announced that the exam will now take place on December 14, 2024 (Saturday), in order to avoid a clash with other competitive exams happening on December 15, 2024, across various states and union territories.

In its official notification, CBSE mentioned that some candidates had informed the Board about competitive exams scheduled for December 15, which led to the decision to prepone the CTET exam by a day. To accommodate all candidates, the exam may also be conducted on December 15, 2024 (Sunday), if the number of candidates in certain cities exceeds the capacity for the exam on December 14.

The CTET 2024 will be conducted across 136 cities nationwide. The online application process for the exam began on September 17, 2024, and candidates have until October 16, 2024, up to 11:59 pm, to complete and submit their applications.

This revised schedule ensures that candidates avoid conflicts with other important exams, thereby facilitating smoother participation in the CTET 2024.
