The Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with MyGov, has announced a series of online competitions and activities to mark the Republic Day Celebrations 2026. These initiatives aim to inspire patriotic values among schoolchildren and encourage nationwide participation.

As per Annexure A, the following competitions will be available on the MyGov portal:

1. Essay Competition
Duration: 20 November to 31 December 2025
Topic:
• स्वाधीनता का मंत्र वंदे मातरम्

2. Painting Contest
Duration: 20 November to 31 December 2025
Topic:
• समृद्धि का मंत्र आत्मनिर्भर भारत

3. Online Quiz Contests
Duration: 1 December to 31 December 2025
Winners will be selected based on combined performance across all quizzes.
Topics include:
(i) The evolution of Vande Mataram: 150 Years of Patriotic Inspiration
(ii) India’s Space Achievements
(iii) India’s Achievements in Sports
(iv) Atmanirbhar Bharat: Mission to achieve self reliance

4. Competition on Singing Vande Mataram in Various Renditions
Duration: 20 November to 31 December 2025

5. Poll on Best Tableau and Best Marching Contingent
Date: 26 January 2026 until 11:59 PM

The Ministry has urged schools and educational institutions to encourage maximum participation to ensure that students engage meaningfully with the themes of national pride, cultural heritage, and India’s achievements. Detailed guidelines and terms are available on the MyGov portal.
