CBSE Warns Schools Against Fake Sports Organization

Affiliation with School Games Federation of India, Not CBSE Board School Games Welfare Society

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a warning to its affiliated schools against participating in sports events organized by a fake entity called CBSE Board School Games Welfare Society (CBSE-WSO), Agra (UP).

According to the secretary (CBSE), CBSE-WSO organization has been misusing the CBSE name and logo to conduct events, despite having no affiliation with the board.

Key Points:

1. CBSE is affiliated with the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) and organizes sports events at the zonal and national levels every year.

2. Winners of CBSE National Games participate in SGFI's National School Games.

3. The fake organization, CBSE-WSO, has been organizing events and participating in competitions organized by SGFI and other sports bodies.

4. CBSE has clarified that it has no connection with CBSE-WSO and warns schools against associating with it or participating in its events.

5. Schools found participating in CBSE-WSO events may face disciplinary action.

Verification Process:

If any affiliated school receives communication from a similar organization, they should verify the information on the CBSE website
