New Delhi, 19 September 2025 – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notice urging parents and schools to carefully verify student details and subject selections while submitting registration data for Classes IX & XI and the List of Candidates (LOC) for Classes X & XII.
Parents’ Role in Data Verification
CBSE has stressed that parents must check all particulars—name, date of birth, subjects, and other personal details—before final submission by schools. Any mismatch with school records or official documents could later create problems in board examinations or certificates.
Mandatory APAAR ID Requirement
The Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) ID is now compulsory for Class IX and XI registrations. Schools must ensure every student has an APAAR ID before submission.
Submission Deadlines
Class IX & XI Registration (2025-26 session): Last date without late fee – 30 September 2025; with late fee, submission allowed up to 15 October 2025.
Class X & XII LOC (Board Exams 2026): Last date without late fee – 5 October 2025; with late fee, submission allowed till 20 October 2025.
Consequences of Incorrect Data
CBSE has warned that wrong entries may lead to cancellation of candidature, refusal of permission to appear in exams, or future difficulties in issuing mark sheets and certificates.
