CBSE’s National Adolescent Summit 2025 brought together 800+ educators, counsellors, and experts to address adolescent mental health, digital safety, identity, inclusion, lifestyle choices, and future pathways, reinforcing NEP 2020’s vision of holistic education.

CBSE Hosts National Adolescent Summit 2025: Empowering Adolescents & Strengthening Mental Wellbeing Across the School Ecosystem

New Delhi : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) successfully organised the National Adolescent Summit 2025 on 5 December 2025 at its headquarters in Dwarka, New Delhi. Aligned with the transformative vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the summit focused on the theme “Empowering Adolescents: Voices, Choices, and Wellbeing” with the powerful tagline “Creating Safe Spaces for Every Teen.”

The day-long event served as an essential platform for psychologists, counsellors, educators, health professionals, and school leaders to explore holistic strategies for strengthening adolescent wellbeing across schools.

A Comprehensive Agenda for Adolescent Wellbeing

The summit featured a rich lineup of sessions that explored the multidimensional challenges faced by today’s adolescents. Key sessions included:

  • Inaugural Session: Adolescents at the Crossroads: Building a Supportive Ecosystem

  • Plenary Session I: Mental Health Matters: Breaking the Silence

  • Plenary Session II: Digital Natives: Navigating Social Media, Cyber Safety & Screen Time

  • Panel Discussions on:

    • Identity & Inclusion: Gender Sensitivity, Bullying & Respect for Diversity

    • Healthy Habits, Healthy Minds: Lifestyle, Substance Use & Body Image

    • Adolescents & the Future: Career Choices, Skills & Purpose

Additional highlights included:

  • Youth Engagement Segment – “My Voice, My Story”

  • Valedictory Session featuring renowned singer Shri Diwakar Sharma

The sessions were led by eminent psychologists, counsellors, and health professionals, moderated by distinguished CBSE school principals. Discussions covered mental health, digital behaviour, identity, inclusion, lifestyle choices, and future pathways, providing evidence-based insights and practical frameworks for action.

Creative Student Performances Amplify Adolescent Voices

The summit featured powerful student expressions, including:

  • Inclusive Band Performance

  • Nukkad Natak

  • Poetry Recital

  • Mime on mental wellbeing

  • Dance Drama “I Rise”

  • Rap performances on resilience & stress management

These performances created authentic spaces for adolescents to share experiences, normalise conversations on mental health, and demonstrate pathways to emotional resilience.

Valedictory Session with Shri Diwakar Sharma

Renowned singer Shri Diwakar Sharma inspired the audience with his personal journey of perseverance, highlighting the balance between artistic pursuits and academics. His soulful performances added an emotional and motivational conclusion to the summit.

Massive Participation from Across India and Abroad

The summit witnessed participation from over 800 delegates, including:

  • 750+ Principals, Vice Principals, Counsellors, and Wellness Teachers

  • Largest contingents from:

    • Delhi NCR – 300+

    • Haryana – 182

    • Uttar Pradesh – 139

  • Delegates from 20+ States/UTs, including Punjab, Rajasthan, MP, Karnataka, Arunachal Pradesh, J&K, Kerala, Odisha

  • International participation from Muscat, Oman
