Kolkata: Calcutta University is going to organize an interactive session on April 23, 2022.

Calcutta University is going to organize a web based interactive session, between the students of the Department of Linguistics of Calcutta University and its scholars and professors.

The interactive session by the University of Calcutta will held on the topic “Let’s talk Linguistic”. Linguistic is the study of human speech including the units, nature, structure and modification of languages. It also includes the study of grammar, syntax and phonetics divided into its specific branches of linguistics including sociolinguistics, dialectology, psycholinguistics, computational linguistics and structural linguistics.

University has also invited the other professionals from the field of Linguistics, to talk about their experience and to share their experience and current experiences and challenges of their work. The main of this series is to let the students learn about the scopes and prospectus of the subject.

The session will also be helpful to know how largely the people working in the Private Sectors are adopting the Linguistic through their mode of work and communication in daily life.

Analytical Linguistic, Project Manager, (Google) via CTS, Debasri Chakrabarti and Conversational Architect at Quantiphi, Martyna Kosciukiewicz from U.K. has been invited for the talk.

The session will hold from 5:00p.m. to 6:30p.m.

The live streaming of the session will be done on YouTube and Facebook as decided by the University.
