Patna: Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the result of 66th Mains Exam. In this, 1828 candidates have been selected. Now it will give interview and after its result will be finally selected. The date of interview will be released separately. It is known that its date can be announced only after a week.

The Controller of Examinations of the Commission, Amarendra Kumar told that in the Mains examination 755 from General, 169 from EWS, 299 from SC, 18 from ST, 339 from EBC, 192 from BC, 56 from BC Female have been selected.

The main examination was conducted by the commission from 29 to 31 July 2021 at several centers in Patna. Through the examination, 689 officers are to be appointed in various departments of Bihar.

These departments will get officers

Cane Officer under Sugarcane Industry Department, Planning Officer cum District Planning Officer under Labour Resource Department, Bihar Probation Service Officer under Home Department, Additional District Transport Officer under Transport Department, City Executive Officer under Urban Development cum Housing Department, Consumer Protection Department, DSP in Home Department, District Commandant in special branch of Home Department, Inspectorate of Prisons and Correctional Services, Jail Superintendent under Home Department, State Tax Assistant Commissioner in Commercial Tax Department, Under Election Officer under Election Department will be appointed.

Ongoing process from 2020

The process for the 66th Combined Competitive Examination is going on since 2020. In this, 4 lakh 49 thousand 450 candidates had applied online. Successful candidates in the preliminary examination were included in the main examination, the examination of which was taken in July 2021. 3497 from general category, 902 from EWS, 1503 from scheduled caste, 78 from scheduled tribe, 1586 from EBC, 1199 from BC and 232 from BC female category.
