Bomb Threats Sent to Over 40 Schools in Delhi: Hoax Claims Police, Schools Evacuate Students

School Chairman Calls for Unity in Tackling Non-Social Activities Amidst Threats

New Delhi: On Monday, more than 40 schools across Delhi received bomb threats via email. The emails, which claimed that bombs had been planted inside school buildings, warned that they would detonate unless a ransom of $30,000 was paid. However, after investigation, Delhi Police confirmed that the threats were hoaxes, and no suspicious items were found.

The email sent to the schools read: "I planted multiple bombs inside (school) buildings. The bombs are small and hidden very well. They will not cause much damage to the building, but many people will be injured when the bombs detonate. If I do not receive $30,000 I will detonate the bombs."

In response, school administrations promptly evacuated students, and both the police and Fire Department were alerted at 7 am.

Mr. R.N. Jindal, Chairman of The Sorvereign School, addressed the issue, calling for unity and collective action. He stated, "There should not be politics on the issue. We should unite on this matter, as it is our duty to come together and fight against non-social activities." His comments underscored the importance of community solidarity in dealing with such threats and ensuring the safety of students and staff.
