Varanasi: Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is organising a National Workshop and Certification programme on First-Aid and CPR from June 10 to 14, 2022. The programme is being organized by the Department of Physical Education, Faculty of Arts as it celebrates 50 years at BHU. The department was established under the leadership of Dronacharya Awardee Prof. Karan Singh in July 1972

The five-day workshop will be focusing on developing an awareness of daily emergencies at the workplace, community and at home. It will also be training participants to handle and deal with the emergencies. The overall objective of this workshop is to: “Preserve Life, Prevent Harm and Promote Recovery.”

There are different modules which have been included in this workshop. Some of the modules are: Diabetic emergencies, nose and ear emergencies, head injury, cardiac arrest, loss of unconsciousness and many such more interesting modules.
