ASN Senior Secondary School organized an enriching session on 'Bharat ka Itihaas'

The aim behind the session was to uphold the core values of Indian culture, focussing on the need to protect the vibrancy of our rich culture and heritage.

 
 
New Delhi. : ASN Senior Secondary School, Mayur Vihar-1 organised an enriching session on 'Bharat ka Itihaas'. The aim behind the session was to uphold the core values of Indian culture, focussing on the need to protect the vibrancy of our rich culture and heritage. The key note speakers of the day were Dr. Atul Kothari, National Secretary, Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas and Dr. B.K. Tripathi, Founder Director IUCTE Varanasi; Former Joint Director and Director (Adi Charge) NCERT and more than 80 teachers & Principals from Delhi & NCR attended the session.
 
School Principal, Ms. Swarnima Luthra, gave a hearty welcome to the guests. The program started with the unveiling of the Phad Paintings under the project 'Phad Se Padh' which depicted the enriching stories formulated through these creative Phad Paintings for children to learn and imbibe from. ASN worked on the theme ‘Notion of Swaraj’ for the Phad painting. The session then took an auspicious start with the lighting of lamp.   The enriching session on *’Bharat ka Itihaas’’* was conducted  with the vision  that the mentors from various schools of Delhi & NCR get ignited and be the torch bearers to enlighten the generations further.
 
Shri B.K. Tripathi, in his address appreciated the exhibition on 'Phad Painting' and urged everyone to remember the contribution made by our great ancient scholars like Sushruta, Aryabhatta, Charaka and others who inspire us to break new grounds every day. He also said to encourage the children to associate science with our daily chores  for better learning and understanding of the concepts. 
 
Shri Atul Kothari was overwhelmed to see the Heritage Park of the school which depicted our ancient scholars and their outstanding contributions to the world at large. He spoke about the contribution of the radicals in the national movement. He also mentioned that each lesson should have a history of it as a preface before it is taken up.
 
School Principal, Ms. Swarnima Luthra moderated the session and in her address said that as educationists we take it as our foremost duty that every citizen of India is apprised & updated on ‘Bharat ka Itihaas’ the true version of Indian History. We believe that every Indian must cherish our rich heritage & develop a sense of pride for India! The session then  culminated with the vote of thanks.
