New Delhi : Prakhar Srivastava, a senior research fellow from the Department of Psychology, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has been appointed as a Research Contractor at the Annecy Behavioral Science Lab in France. Prakhar, who has been working under Prof. Samina Bano's supervision, will contribute to the development of the Global Index of Social Connection. 

This significant project, led by Dr. Hans Rocha IJzerman and Miguel Silan, aims to better understand social connection and loneliness across cultures, with a particular focus on perspectives from the Global South. Prakhar will be responsible for the research activities of this Project in India. Findings from this project will be used to create a scale for the broader research community and stakeholders, including major international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). This initiative has the potential to influence global policies and practices related to social connectedness around the world.
