New Delhi :- Clearing NEET UG in her third attempt with a perfect score was a dream come true for Mumbai’s Amina Kadiwal. She will be the first doctor in her family. Aiming to study at AIIMS Delhi, Amina has not yet decided on her second and third college preferences.

The National Testing Agency announced the NEET UG 2024 results on Tuesday where 67 students ranked first leading to uncertainty of admission among students. “I am yet to decide about my second preference. I have to discuss it with my teachers before making any decision,” said the topper.
Amina took a drop of two years after passing Class 12. She said, “I was not sure about taking the exam, and if NEET UG 2024 had not been a success for me then I would have enrolled in any graduation college.”

The 20-year-old said that her school principal encouraged her to pursue NEET UG and her parents supported her to their entirety in this journey. “I took the drop in 2021 which was during lockdown. I used to start my day by praying to the almighty and then with revision followed by attending coaching classes till 6 pm. After that I used to study for 4-5 hours more,” said the topper who ranked AIR 1.53.
Kadiwal focussed on coaching material along with mock tests. She religiously followed the notes she made and the NCERT books. “As I prepared during lockdown, my school and its papers never disturbed my preparation. In fact, the extra burden was lessened because of that and I was better able to manage both of them,” she said adding that she used to revise chapters daily.

“If a topic is prepared, I used to revise it continuously for the next 4-5 days. This helped me during the last days of the NEET UG,” she said.
Amina further said that while attempting the NEET paper, she first completed biology followed by chemistry and physics. “I did my paper in two rounds and at last after I was confirmed about my answers, then I started to mark them on my OMR sheet,” she added.
