FTCCI to organize Industrial Innovation and Technology Expo to help MSMEs boost production through the use of the latest technology and innovations.

The importance of industrial technology is directly linked to competitiveness. The technological advantage is a determining factor in industrial competitiveness in the world today. Technology is the key growth driver. It is the key to reducing unit costs, improving product quality, holding or increasing market share and increasing output, profits and return on investment and ultimately survival, Anil Agarwal explained. This exhibition is the need of the hour. Not many thought about it before.

HYDERABAD, April 3, 2023……The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI), a city-based 106 old, one of the most vibrant regional chambers in India announced organize today IITEX EXPO, Industrial Innovation and Technology Expo – 2023.

Addressing a press conference at Federation House on Monday, Mr Anil Agarwal, its President said the maiden expo is an ambitious initiative of the Chamber and would be organized in June from 28 to 30 at Hitex for three days.  It will have 150 stalls and expects 80000 footfalls.  

The aim of the IITEX is to boost production through the use of the latest technology & innovations, in the process, boost the economy and help the Atamanirbhar Bharat initiative of the Government of India.

Technology has the power to do many things, including changing the world we live in and the way we live too, said Anil Agarwal.  He addressed a press conference along with Mr Meela Jayadev, Senior Vice President of FTCCI.

Nectrobotics (use of  dead organisms as robotic components);  Sand batteries(a way to turn sand into a giant battery), 3D Printed Bones; 3 printed organs;  cultured meat, lab-grown meat, lab-made dairy products, Direct Air Capture(DAC), the technology that could perform the same role as trees), driverless lorries, Green funerals(death tends to be a carbon-heavy process), wearable screens, Energy storing bricks;  self-healing living concrete, a building material said to be more environmentally friendly than concrete; how about a refrigerator that senses when you're running low on something and orders it for you;   fuel from air, car batteries that charge in 10 minutes, smart toothbrushes that send data to dentists; smart mirrors just like smartphones that check your health; smarter toilets that check your leaving for illness; robotic bodies for disables who are unable to stand and walk; high-rise farms, 3d printed metal, air-purifying masks(tech-rich breathing apparatus that cleans the air, removes virus from the air).; Battery-powered construction; Quantum Internet(you can share 4K videos at 20 times faster upload speed than cable). These are some of the technologies we know are fast emerging. There are some more we don't know. The expo is our endeavour to get futuristic technologies for the benefit of MSMEs, informed Anil Agarwal.    

Industrial Innovation and technology in industrial space is a new or improved product or process whose technical characteristics are significantly different from before.

The relationship between Industrial Innovation and Technology is very unique and intertwined, explained Anil Agarwal.  Society constantly looks for innovative and improved products, which are possible through new processes developed by the industrial sector. We cannot bring innovation to any industry without technology. without the use of technology, we cannot make innovation in any industry, he stated

It will be our endeavour to involve all regional chambers from across India.  Each Chamber can have its own pavilion.  It will also be a unique platform for all the regional chambers to merge and at one single platform and collaborate for better future prospects for all associated with those chambers.  

Supported by the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, Government of Telangana, TSIIC (Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation) objectives of the expo are to showcase the latest innovations and technological developments; connect MSMEs with the latest technology, Research and Development, provide them with an opportunity for B2B connect across India and abroad, promote indigenization and support the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative

Further, it would be our endeavour to provide a platform for Startups to showcase their expertise and competence in this area of specialization.

The year 2023 being an International Year of Millets, FTCCI would like to celebrate it befittingly in association with IIMR (Indian Institute of Millets Research), a premier agricultural research institute engaged in basic and strategic research on sorghum and other millets under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
