Cricket Match between TIPS – NSIT Cricket  

The match was won by NSIT

 

 

New Delhi:  Trinity Institute of Professional Studies (TIPS) affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has organized a friendly cricket match with the team of Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT). The cricket tournament was organized for the students of Bachelor’s of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication to give them exposure to journalistic practices in sports. The match was won by NSIT. Man of the match was Ayush of NSIT team

The 20-20 cricket tournament organized by TIPS, Dwarka was an initiative towards giving an exposure to the students of journalism and mass communication in the field of sports journalism. The match was played at NSIT ground. It was started with the felicitation of dignitaries. The dignitaries of the match were Sh. Sanjay Tuteja (senior journalist in Rashtriya Sahara) Chief Guest of the match, Dr. R.K. Tandon (Chairman, TIPS), Dr. Praveen Saroha (Director, Physical Education, NSIT) and Prof. H.P. Garg (Director-General, TIPS).  Chairman, Dr. R.K. Tandon along with the other dignitaries met the players of both the teams to motivate them and also tossed the coin; the toss was won by TIPS. The captain of team TIPS decided to field first.  Students of both the institutions were enthusiastic and cheered up the players. Students were enthralled and enjoyed the match with the music.

The chief guest, Sh. Sanjay Tuteja also briefed the students of mass communication on journalistic practices adopted in sports. The match was won by NSIT. Man of the match was Ayush of NSIT team. Medals were given to all the players of winning team. Dr. Praveen Saroha presented the trophy to the winning team and also to the man of the match.
