Indian Army Signs MOU with Pune-based Indrani Balan Foundation to provide quality education in J&k.

The Chinar Corps of the Indian Army entered in an MOU with Indrani Balan Foundation to provide better education quality and facilities to the young and talented youth of Kashmir valley.

The MOU enables the army to get financial assistance for its Army Goodwill Schools and Pariwar School Society.

To commemorate the event Lieutenant General BS Raju Commander of Chinar Corps along with Punit Balan and Jahanvi Dhariwal of Indrani Balan Foundation were present.

The foundation will work with Chinar Corps to Finance four goodwill schools of Uri, Wayne, Trehgam, and Hajinar in Baramulla and Kupwara districts. The foundation will build infrastructure for the Pariwar School Society for specially-abled children at Baramulla.

"We are thankful to Indrani Balan Foundation to have come forward and taken on the initiative," Lieutenant General BS Raju said.

"Today is a very landmark day in which we have signed an MoU with Indrani Balan Foundation for financial assistance to run four Army Goodwill Schools and Pariwar School," the Lieutenant General told ANI.

Additionally, he said "It is an ice-breaking event where they have come to collaborate with the Indian Army so that the local students of Kashmir get access to quality education," 

Trustee of Indrani Balan Foundation, Punit Balan said it is a milestone for the foundation.

Chinar Corps which is located in Srinagar and is solely responsible for military operations in Kashmir is educating more than 10,000 students every year through its 28 Goodwill Schools in Kashmir and it is estimated that up until now approximately 1 lac students have graduated from these esteemed institutions.
