JNU WILL BE OPEN FROM 2ND NOVEMBER, 2020 AT DIFFERENT PHASES.

New Delhi: Jawaharlal Nehru University releases notices for Opening of the University in different phases from 2nd November, 2020 (Monday) with the view of ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic. 

According to information, this is ONLY for the Final year Ph.D Research Scholars, including 9B students and Project staff who require laboratory access ONLY in Science Schools and Special Centres (SBT, SLS, SES, SPS, SC&SS, SC&IS, SCMM,SCNS, AND AIRF). 
 

1.Phase-01 of Reopening of JNU from 2-11-2020 (Monday); Final year Ph.D research scholars, including 9B students, who require to enter the campus (Day Scholars) for access to laboratories and to submit their PhD theses on/before 30-12-2020 or before 30-06-2021 and Project Staff in Science Schools/Centers are allowed. 

2.Phase-02 of Reopening of JNU from 16-11-2020 (Monday); Final year PhD research scholars, including 9B students in Science Schools/Centers, who were residing in hostels (Hostlers) and now require to enter the campus for access to laboratories and to submit their Ph.D theses on/before 31-11-2020 or before 30-06-2021 are allowed with hostel facility.

The Certificates of the Supervisor shall be mandatory that the students will require laboratory access to complete the PhD Thesis work. COVID-19 testing camps with the help of local district administration shall be organized in the campus on regular intervals. 

Assess the feasibility of maintaining social distancing in the labs, accordingly the number of scholars who could be accomodated. A roaster (day-wise and or time-wise) should be prepared for this purpose. 

Arrangements to be made for recording the entry  and exit time of each person entering the building and for ensuring the normal working hours are followed from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Students have to take permission from the concerned authorities to work during extended hours. 

Thermal scanners should be set up at the entrance gate of each academic building. Schools/Centers are to coordinate with sanitation department to ensure that each building has sufficient stock of sanitizers, liquid soaps, and disinfectants at all times. 

The mandatory guidelines to be followed: 
 

Upon arrival on the campus, every student will fill-up & submit the Self Declaration Form. 

The Central library will be remain closed during these two phases. All Canteens & Dhabas will remain closed. 

Every individual/student should have an Arogya Setu app on their phones. 

All students have to undergo self-quarantine for 07 days after arrival at Delhi from outstation and before joining the University. 

Meeting may be conducted only in an online mode. No social gathering is allowed. All students & staff working in the lab must wear face masks/gloves & other protective gears. 

If it is found that any one is violating the above directions and COVID-19 protocols such violator(s) shall be liable for disciplinary action.
