Karnataka: Minister S Suresh Kumar, The Education Minister of Karnataka, has declared that the verdict to reopen the schools in Karnataka will be taken after July 5, 2020. Although parents have asked the education department to reopen schools in the state only after August/September 2020.

Seeing the importance of the communication between teacher and students it is said that the school has to interact with students twice in a week as no online classes are conducted for LKG and UKG.

“No online classes will be conducted for LKG and UKG students. Schools should interact with students on the phone twice a week,” he was quoted as saying by ANI.

The school will open in a phased manner which means that the high school will be opened first followed by primary school, said the minister.

The minister said that the state has made an expert committee based on the guidelines laid down by the Centre for Class 1 to Class 10.

“Once the committee submits its recommendations, we will decide the next course of action,” he said.
