University Of Delhi: Announces Visually Impaired Students Datesheet Notice
New Delhi. University of Delhi has released a notice about provision of scribes for the visually impaired students of Under Graduate and Post Graduate Courses appearing for the Open Book Examination (OBE) to be held from 10th July, 2020 for the academic session 2019-20 in the light of decision of the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi dated 17.06.2020.
The Colleges and departments of the University have already been issued guidelines for visually impaired students regarding OBE.
Students can send their request to the respective colleges/departments or they can also send their request for scribes to the Dean(Examination) at firstname.lastname@example.org. The students who are availing the ICT infrastructure facility at the Common Service Centre (CSCs) should contact their respective CSC Centre for availing the facility of scribes for a particular session of examination. The CSCs have already been briefed about the request of the students to take care. For easier verification students can download the app which is mentioned in the Official notice. The departments/colleges have also been advised to extend their support to the visually impaired students in locating the study material/reference, texts as required for the OBE on receipt of such requests at the dedicated email of the institution. The study material/reference texts are required by the students shall be provided through e-mode in a searchable pdf or Docx format. The students can also avail the books which is available with the University or Saksham in the accessible format on sending a request for the same through email at email@example.com or through SMS/Whatsapp at 9650410351 on working days only.
