Special efforts are mandatory to save Tourism Industry

Mahendragarh: The Tourism and Hotel Management Department of Central University of Haryana (CUH) Mahendragarh organised a one day International Webinar on “Tourism and Hospitality Strategies to the Covid-19”. The event was inaugurated with the address of Prof. R C Kuhad, the Vice Chancellor of the University. Prof. Kuhad on this occasion added that the Tourism  and Hotel Industry have been highly affected during this pandemic hence the significance of conducting a webinar in present time is self explanatory. 

 Prof Kuhad added that for the redevelopment of this industry, professional as well as academic experts will not only have to develop plans conjointly but also have to make special efforts in their skilled implementation. As Experts Vimal K. Rai, Managing Director Trace Consultancy Hong Kong; Pradeepto Mahapatra, Vice President, My Fair Group of Hotels; Sachin Manocha, Chief Executive Officer Mice Affairs Media Group and Rajat Bakhti, Executive Director Eternal Vacations India expressed their views in the webinar. He highlighted that the industry was going through hard times and what kind of strategy will be required for its reestablishment. 

 

More than 200 teachers from different reputed institutes and Universities along with the students from all over India participated in this webinar. Dr. Ranbeer Singh, The Head of the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management, said that in order to restore this industry to its normal situation mutual confidence and harmony will play a pivotal role. He congratulated Assistant Professor Ankush Ambardaar for his skilled Moderating and Assistant Professor Vikas Mohan, Amandeep, Shikha, Vikas Siwach, and Dr. Dilbaag Singh for their skilled and smooth conduction of the entire program. Besides he also added that webinar of this kind are not only informative for the students but are also useful for the researchers and that the Tourism and Hotel Management Department shall take extreme efforts in conducting such programs in future too.
