CBSE Date Sheet 2020 Released for class 10th and 12th
NEW DELHI: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday, 18th June 2020 released the datesheet of pending CBSE class 10 and 12 examinations by HRD Minsiter.
According to the schedule, CBSE will commence the board examinations for remaining papers on July 1, 2020. CBSE will conclude the pending examination with English paper on July 15, 2020.
The pending exams of class 12 will be conducted from July 1 to 15. CBSE had to postpone exams on 8 examination days following the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown.
Due to the law and order situation in the North East Delhi, CBSE was not able to conduct exams on 4 examination days.
The Board conducts examinations for only main subjects that will be required for promotion and crucial for admissions in higher educational institutions.
Henceforth, it will hold examinations for the following 29 subjects — (Class 10 north east Delhi) Hindi Course A, Hindi Course B, English Comm, English Lang & Lit, Science, and Social Science, (Class 12 whole India) Business Studies, Geography, Hindi (Elective), Hindi (Core), Home Science, Sociology, Computer Science (Old), (Class 12 north east Delhi) English Elective - N, English Elective -C, English Core, Mathematics, Economics, Biology, Political Science, History.
The class 10 exams will be conducted only for the students who had to miss their exams due to the riots in North East Delhi earlier this year. Those who have appeared for class 10 exams will not have to take the test again, nor the CBSE will conduct any pending exams for them. The board is devising a mechanism to promote students for these exams. Class 1 to 8 students have already been promoted to the next class based on internal assessment.
