Mesmerising plays by the little stars

New Delhi: UDAAN- The centre of Theatre, Art and Child Development and the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts together organised a theatre show wherein six plays were performed by the tiny acting masters. The six plays were named as- Gajmoksh, Gudiya, Mere Papa, Paanch choro ka vesh, Beti aur Bahu, Abhimaan. All of them were tremendously executed by the UDAAN team and were perfectly performed by the children.


UDAAN and IGNCA organised a whole of one month children theatre workshop from 20 May 2019 for the students of the Mother Divine Public School and the Mount Abu Public School, Rohini.


For the Closure Day celebrations all the plays were performed in the IGNCA stage in presence of the parents of the participants and many more senior theatre artists.
IGNCA Administrative Director R. Rangnekar and Academic Consultant Satyavrat Tripathi been the chief guest of the theatre show. All the six plays were headed successfully and caught great appreciation status from the audience and this was made possible by the extremely talented members of the execution team named Sanjay Tuteja,  Tushar De, Astha Batra and Rajesh Tiwari, graduate from the National School Of Drama.


150 or more students participated in plays out of which 140 were freshers in the world of theatre. Audience was mesmerised by the performance of the students.
The plays had in various messages for the whole world in which Gudiya focused on saving the girl child and educating her, Gajmoksh focused on the importance of philanthropy, Paanch choro ka vesh dictated various kind of wrong doings in our society, Beti aur Bahu was a satire based play on the dowry system, Mere Papa was based on the special bond which a father and his son shares and the Abhimaan showed the fate of vanity.


According to Sanjay Tuteja , the director of Udaan this was 26th child theatre workshop organised by the UDAAN organisation in which children learns life and moral values too other than theatre skills.


At the end of the all six plays each and every artists were awarded by chief guests.  Lalit Kaushik, Divya, Vijay Kumar Rai and Bharat Tiwari were awarded as Cultural Journalist Award by  UDAAN-The Center Of Theatre Art & Child Development, on the occasion.
