The University of Petroleum and Energy is now offering a unique Bachelors of Arts programme in public policy to help students develop professional skills.

More about the course:

  • The endeavour is to prepare students for an exciting career in administration and policy making with special emphasis on active participation in formulation and implementation of public policy
  • The course is designed to help students to be equipped with a strong understanding of the subject, before pursuing further, in the field
  • In-lieu with the career aspirations of the new generation, UPES has embedded civil services examination coaching along with the regular course curriculum for the BA programme
  • UPES has joined hands with Dr.Lakshmaiah, IAS study circle, and have developed a plan and methodology in training students to excel in the civil services examination

What are the career opportunities?

After successfully completing BA Public Policy programme, one can work for Indian government agencies, international agencies, not-for-profit organisation (NGOs), private firms, urban and regional planning, city management and financial planning.

How can you apply at School of Public Policy (SoPP) and Governance at UPES?

Eligibility criteria

Minimum 50 per cent marks at higher and senior secondary level (class 10 and 12)

Admission criteria:

The admission will be done on the basis of counselling and interview.
