TS Inter results 2018 declared: Overall pass percentage 67.25%


HYDERABAD: Girls outshone boys in the intermediate examinations, results of which were declared by the Telangana State Board of Intermediate (TSBIE) on Friday.
Even the overall pass percentage of the second year students trumped this year by four percent to 67.06 percent. Similarly, the pass percentage of first year students trumped by five percent to 62.35 percent.
Of the 4.98 lakh candidates who appeared for the second year exam, 2.88 lakh cleared it. Similarly, of the 4.55 lakh candidates who appeared for the first year exam, 2.84 lakh cleared it.

This was the second time that the TSBIE announced the results for both the years at the same time.
For the second time, Medchal and Komaram Bheem stood at the top of the list with highest number of passed students in second year. Total 80 percent candidates cleared the second year exam in the two districts. In first year, Ranga Reddy stood at the top of the list with 70 percent candidates having cleared the exam.
Students of Mahbubabad displayed poor performance in the second year exams with only 40 percent having cleared it.
In the second year intermediate examination, 2.88 lakh students cleared the exam. Total number of the students appeared for the examination is 4.29 lakh.
