The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification for Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Examination, 2019 on its official website, the link for which is upsc.gov.in
The interested, eligible candidates can apply through the prescribed format on or before April 16 (6 pm).

UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Exam 2019: Eligibility qualification required
Geologist Gr 'A' in Geological Survey of India: For this post, the candidates should possess a master's degree in Geological Science or Geology or Applied Geology or Geo-Exploration or Mineral Exploration or Engineering Geology or Marine Geology or Earth Science and Resource Management or Oceanography and Coastal Areas studies or Petroleum Geosciences or Petroleum Exploration or Geochemistry or Geological Technology from a recognised university.
Geophysicists Gr 'A' in Geological Survey of India: The candidate should have MSc in Physics or Applied Physics or MSc (Geophysics) or Integrated MSc (Exploration Geophysics) or MSc (Applied Geophysics) or MSc (Marine Geophysics) or MSc (Tech.) (Applied Geophysics) from any recognised university.
Chemists Gr 'A' in Geological Survey of India: The applicant should have MSc in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry from a recognised university.
Junior Hydrogeologists (Scientist-B) Group 'A' in Central Ground Water Board: The interested candidates should possess a master's degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a recogniSed University.
UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Exam 2019: Age limit criteria
The applicant should be in the age group of 21 to 32 years. Meanwhile, age relaxation of five years will be there for ex-servicemen category candidates and Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe.
The age limit of Junior Hydrogeologists posts is between 21 to 35 years.
UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Exam 2019: How to apply
The candidates are required to apply online only by using the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in .As per the official notification, the applicant will be required to complete the Online Application Form containing two stages viz. Part-I and Part-II.
The applicant needs to pay a fee of Rs 200. However, female/SC/ST/ Persons with Benchmark Disability need not pay application fee.
